Der Film besteht aus drei Skizzen, die von Boris Karloff präsentiert werden und alle durch das Thema Angst vereint sind: Eine Frau erhält einen Anruf, der ihr vom eigenen Tod erzählt, ein Vampir verfolgt als Frau das slawische Land und eine Krankenschwester wird vom Geist eines Patienten gequält, dem sie einen Ring gestohlen hat.
