Le premier, Interior Design de Michel Gondry, suit un couple fraîchement arrivé à Tokyo.
Merci, second court-métrage, réalisé par Leos Carax, met en scène celle que les médias nomment "La Créature des égouts".
Bong Joon-ho a réalisé le dernier court-métrage, Shaking Tokyo, dont le héros est un hikikomori. Le terme d’origine japonaise décrit des personnes atteintes du syndrôme du même nom. Les hikikomoris restent isolés dans leurs lieux d’habitation durant de nombreux mois, voire des années.
