The film"s page
In a school in the suburbs of Rome, pupils desert the classroom preferring the education of the streets. A teacher convinces them to return to school and experiments with them a new way of teaching. With great freshness, De Seta invents a hybrid form that transcends all categories. In the creative process he involves the children, their families, neighbourhood inhabitants, the actors, applying to the film itself the anti-authoritarian principles of teaching born of 1968.
