"Why is Negro art in the Musée de l'Homme while Greek or Egyptian art is in the Louvre?". This is the question posed by Alain Resnais and Chris Marker, who explored African art from 1952 to 1953 through its numerous masks and statues. In doing so, they denounce their lack of appreciation in the colonial context and point to the existing racism.
